As a 20+ year massage veteran who LOVES her work, Kari believes that if you love what you do and you'll never work a day in your life. Given the extensive training in sports and orthopedic work, Kari has had the privilege to work with many pro athletes and Olympians looking to increase their performance or heal from an injury. Kari strongly feels that all people deserve exceptional massages that help them find maximum relief and healing, or ultimate relaxation.  She has a thorough working knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology and she truly enjoys helping people. 

Kari’s passion for massage and teaching have called her to develop continuing education classes in her specialties so that more massage therapists can help their clients efficiently and successfully.

Orthopedic Massage

Orthopedic massage; Orthopedic massage utilizes several different techniques including myofascial, trigger point, Swedish, hot stone, cupping, and sports massage. This therapeutic approach helps the client to recover faster or enhance sports performance by removing the restrictions in the tissues that are holding the body back from its full potential.

Stick and Stone Massage

Learn how to apply tools such as hot stones, bamboo sticks, gua sha instruments, and cups to the front of the body to save your hands and increase client relaxation and recovery. In each of these 8 hour courses you will learn the benefits, contraindications, cleaning protocols, and Incorporating them into your treatments.

Expectations; You will be shown how to implement various massage tools to help enhance your client services as well as save your hands. All tools will be provided for use during class, and information on where and how to purchase following the course will be given. 

 

Below you will find a list of things you will need to bring with you for the class. 

Massage Table (one per 2 people needed)

1 set of clean sheets and blanket (room can get cold)

Holster (optional) 

Stool (optional) 

 

Unscented massage oil/cream/lotion. (Please refrain from using perfume or heavily scented products on day of course, instructor has bad asthma triggered by artificial fragrances) 

 

Pen or pencil

 

This course is 1 day, 8 CEU hours, 9:30-5:30 each day with a break for lunch. Expect to stay the entire time to receive the certificate of completion.
